Asimismo, las autoridades ambientales advirtieron de los riesgos que puede suponer la nube t??xica emanada tras el accidente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Tenemos que asumir que no encontraremos vivos a los cinco desaparecidos&#8221;, dijo Hyldmar, en rueda de prensa en Leverkusen, cerca de Colonia, en el oeste de Alemania. Cuatro de los desaparecidos son trabajadores de Currenta, el quinto es empleado de una empresa externa, precis??.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La explosi??n, ocurrida el martes, dej?? dos personas muertas y 31 heridas, pudo escucharse a decenas de kil??metros y provoc?? una enorme nube t??xica que afect?? a las ??reas residenciales pr??ximas, donde se llam?? a la ciudadan??a a cerrar puertas y ventanas y permanecer encerrados. Adem??s, se ha recomendado a la poblaci??n limpiar muebles que estuvieran al aire libre, no consumir frutas ni verduras de sus huertos ni usar piscinas en un radio de varios kil??metros en torno a la f??brica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Homicidio negligente<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los responsables de Medio Ambiente del estado federado de Renania del Norte-Westfalia, donde se sit??a el parque siniestrado, indicaron que se asume que en la explosi??n se expulsaron dioxinas, bifenilo ploriclorado (PCB) y furano. &#8220;La concentraci??n en la que esto sucedi?? realmente a??n se est?? investigando. Las investigaciones llevan bastante tiempo&#8221;, reconoci?? un portavoz de esa oficina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las operaciones de rescate continuaban este mi??rcoles, aunque los equipos deben tomar muchas precauciones a causa del calor que sigue reinando en el lugar del incidente, y las posibles sustancias t??xicas en el aire. En tanto, la fiscal??a abrir?? una investigaci??n por homicidio negligente, ante la sospecha de que esa haya sido la causa de la explosi??n.
